Quite a few imaging reports have shown the necessity of the anterior insula (Figure 1E) in responding to uncertainty48,133,147,148. For instance, anterior insula exercise tracked levels of danger and hazard prediction problems during final decision-producing tasks48 and was associated with a lot less risky selections under uncertain conditions147.
